Ian had a very small role on this television show in which he played Brian, a school newspaper reporter in the episode A Girl's Life (#1.7).

Young Americans (2000) -TV Series
Ian's break-through, as Hamilton Fleming, in WB's summer show. Playing the Dean's son, Hamilton Fleming, who is forced to question his sexuality when he finds himself attracted to a male classmate (Jake Pratt).

Ian plays Russell Henderson in this made for TV MTV-production. Anatomy of a Hate Crime is the story behind the vicious attack and murder of 21-year-old gay college student Matthew Shepard. It launched MTV's yearlong Fight For Your Rights:Take a Stand Against Discrimination campaign.

Life As a House (2001)
Plot Outline: When a man is diagnosed with terminal cancer, he takes custody of his misanthropic teenage son, for whom quality time means getting high, engaging in small-time prostitution, and avoiding his father. In this movie, Ian plays opposite actors such as Kevin Kline, Kristin Scott Thomas and Hayden Christensen. Ian plays the role of Jena Malone's characters' boyfriend. For more info go to IMDB.
