Meet the Teens starring in this hot new
summer series!
By Mary
Young Americans is a 'Dawson's
Creek' spin-off premiering this summer on the WB Network. It's a series about
blue blood meeting blue collar. Set at a New England boarding school. The first
episode will involve the frenzy of a new school year. Where kids from different
parts, uncertain futures, are thrown together.
Some are saying the shows hot
new cast is even hotter than Dawson's. Will Krudski (Rodney Scott) is a local
boy at a scholarship in Rawley Academy who can't hid the fact that he's
completely out of his element. Scout Calhoun (Mark Famiglietti) has the
charisma, good looks, and confidence, that Will hopes to obtain by attending
Rawley. Both guys are mesmerized by Bella Banks (Kate Bosworth), a luminous
local girl who was brought up by her overprotective father. Bella grew up with
Will and sees him as sort of a brother, while she affectionately teases Scout as
the "guy who gets what he wants."
Held on the fringe of this
social struggle is the Dean's son Hamilton Fleming (Ian Somerhalder), an edgy,
alternative teen. His outsider status attracts the friendship of Jake Pratt
(Katherine Moennig), who matches Fleming in his aloof stuance.
